We like to use plants from all over the world, not just South African plants. A lot of countries have a similar climate to ours with extraordinary plants which is available in South Africa and does well in our country. Other than the flowers we choose plants according to their watering needs, vulnerability for pests, sustainability and lifespan. People prefer indigenous plants but that to has its problems. Indigenous  plants grow at a quick pace which means they have to be replaced after only three growing seasons otherwise the plant appears dry and it would flower less everytime.
